The 2.5-litre tin of Bird Brand Complete Decking Oil is a solvent-based exterior treatment that feeds tired timber and leaves a rich, lustrous satin finish. A blend of resins, natural oils, UV filters and waxes works into the grain to nourish the wood and help prevent splitting and weathering.
Once dry it is harmless to plants and pets, offers useful slip resistance underfoot, and repels water while guarding against algae, mould and fungal growth. The finish will not crack, peel or flake over time.

A level, solid surface gives the best result for sheds and larger storage units — concrete slab, paving flags, or a pressure-treated timber base all work. Storage boxes sit on any level paved or decked surface. If the ground isn't level, panels won't line up cleanly and the unit won't be fully weathertight.
