About this product

Everything you need to know

This brown-finish W-227cm log store combines full front doors with a rear-sloping roof, available in 126cm or 180cm heights and an 88cm depth. It delivers enclosed, large-scale firewood storage for anyone who buys or burns wood in bulk.

Made from construction-grade, pressure-treated timber, it stands up to the weather and resists decay, while heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant fixings keep the broad frame stable. Slatted sides and a raised base drive airflow behind the doors so logs keep drying, and the sloped roof carries rain away to the rear. The 4FT model provides 1m3 (W-208cm) and the 6FT model a generous 1.58m3.

Roomy, secure and easy on the eye, its warm brown finish helps this sizeable store blend into gardens, yards and driveways alike.

Log Store - what actually matters

Seasoning firewood is really an airflow problem, not a rain problem. Split logs need moving air to get below the 20% moisture content that burns cleanly, which is why open or slatted sides matter more than a fully enclosed box. If you want the longer version, read how to season firewood.

Looking after it

  • Re-coat with a clear or tinted exterior wood treatment every two to three years.
  • Keep the base clear of piled soil and leaf litter so the timber can dry out.
  • Check fixings once a year and nip up anything that has worked loose.

Delivery and returns

Free delivery to UK mainland on orders over £100, typically 5-7 working days. Larger items travel by pallet to kerbside, so arrange help to move them. You have 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 - see returns and delivery.

Common questions

Everything buyers ask before they order.

How long does assembly take?

Assembly time depends on the size — storage boxes take 15–45 minutes, benches around 30–60 minutes, sheds and bin stores 2–3 hours with two people. Exact figure for this product is in the Full specification table below. Tools needed: a screwdriver and a spirit level. Prefer someone else to build it? Book a verified Tasker via Taskrabbit.

Do I need a base or level ground?

A level, solid surface gives the best result for sheds and larger storage units — concrete slab, paving flags, or a pressure-treated timber base all work. Storage boxes sit on any level paved or decked surface. If the ground isn't level, panels won't line up cleanly and the unit won't be fully weathertight.

When will my order arrive?

Standard UK mainland delivery is 5–7 working days, tracked. Free over £100. You'll get a dispatch email with a tracking link. We don't currently ship to Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scottish Highlands & Islands, or Northern Ireland — see our delivery page for the full breakdown.

What if something arrives damaged?

Email hello@garden-storage.com within 30 days of delivery with photos and your order number. We'll arrange a free replacement or full refund — including return postage. Damage is rare on pallet-shipped items, but it's fully covered under our returns policy.

What's my consumer protection?

You have full rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 (satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, as described) and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (14-day right to cancel from receipt). See our returns page for how the cooling-off period and refund timing work in practice.
