The frame uses pressure-treated, construction-grade timber that stands up to the elements, with slatted panels and a raised floor encouraging the airflow that dries firewood properly. A sloped roof sheds rainwater cleanly, and every joint is secured with corrosion-resistant fixings. With close to 1.5m3 of space in the 126cm option and 2.4m3 in the 180cm option, there is plenty of room to stack and rotate a winter supply.

Looking after it
- Re-coat with a clear or tinted exterior wood treatment every two to three years.
- Keep the base clear of piled soil and leaf litter so the timber can dry out.
- Check fixings once a year and nip up anything that has worked loose.

Assembly time depends on the size — storage boxes take 15–45 minutes, benches around 30–60 minutes, sheds and bin stores 2–3 hours with two people. A level, solid surface gives the best result for sheds and larger storage units — concrete slab, paving flags, or a pressure-treated timber base all work. Storage boxes sit on any level paved or decked surface. If the ground isn't level, panels won't line up cleanly and the unit won't be fully weathertight.
