Wooden garden storage for gardens where the aesthetic matters — planted borders, lawns, courtyards where a plastic box would jar. Every wooden box in our range is built from FSC-certified Scandinavian pine, vacuum pressure-treated to BS 8417 Use Class 3. That means 15+ years of rot protection without re-staining, without annual maintenance, without the faff most wooden garden kit needs.

Sized from 120L (two cushions) up to 450L (full patio set), in natural pine finish or painted grey (which matches most modern fencing). The joinery is properly mortise-and-tenon where it matters, with pressure-treated framing inside so the structure holds up long after a cheaper box would be splitting.

Wood does one thing plastic can't — it ages. The natural finish will silver slightly over 3-4 years into a weathered pine colour that looks genuinely good, or you can restain every few years to keep it fresh. Either way it ends up sitting in a garden better than plastic ever does.

Everything you need to know

Choosing the right garden storage for your space

Garden storage has to do three things at once: keep your kit dry, stand up to British weather year after year, and actually look right next to your planting. Most cheap options get one of those — ours are designed around all three.

Use the filters to narrow by capacity, material, and feature. If you're not sure where to start, our 60-second storage finder will shortlist three options for your garden.

Common questions

Before you buy Wooden Garden Storage Boxes.

How long does a wooden storage box last?

With pressure-treated FSC timber (what we use) and a level base, 10–15 years is realistic. Cheaper untreated wooden boxes typically fail in 4–6 years. The 10-year structural guarantee backs our range.

Do I need to stain or paint a wooden storage box?

No — not to maintain the guarantee. Pressure treatment protects the wood all the way through. You can re-stain every 3–4 years if you want to keep a crisp colour, but it's purely aesthetic.

Will a wooden box rot on grass?

Not our pressure-treated timber, but we recommend putting it on a paved surface or a layer of weed membrane over gravel. Direct grass contact traps moisture against the base, which defeats the pressure treatment over time.

Is wooden storage waterproof?

Yes when new — sealed joinery, weatherproof gasket, sloped roof for run-off. The wood itself expands and contracts seasonally (2–3mm) so tiny gaps can appear in summer; they close again in damp weather. For contents that absolutely cannot get damp, check the spec for the lid gasket detail or consider our waterproof plastic range.
