Double wheelie bin stores — sized specifically for two UK-standard 240L bins side-by-side with proper clearance for lid operation. The most common UK council configuration (general waste + recycling, or general + garden), so this is the size most households need.

Every store in this range fits 2 × 240L bins with enough headroom to fully open the lids inside, and enough front-opening width that binmen can wheel both out at once. No lifting, no awkward access, no partial emptying.

Material options: FSC-certified pine for front gardens where aesthetics matter; UV-stabilised plastic for zero maintenance; galvanised steel for exposed locations. All with a sloped roof for run-off and front-opening design for bin-day practicality.

Everything you need to know

Choosing the right garden storage for your space

Garden storage has to do three things at once: keep your kit dry, stand up to British weather year after year, and actually look right next to your planting. Most cheap options get one of those — ours are designed around all three.

Use the filters to narrow by capacity, material, and feature. If you're not sure where to start, our 60-second storage finder will shortlist three options for your garden.

Common questions

Before you buy Double Wheelie Bin Storage.

Will my council's bins fit?

Yes if they're 240L (UK standard). Every major UK council uses 240L for general and recycling. Some use 140L (smaller — fits fine with extra space) or 360L (larger — check the spec). The store will also fit at those smaller sizes with more clearance.

Do I need a floor in the bin store?

Optional. Some customers prefer open-bottom (bin leaks drain straight to the ground, nothing to clean). Others prefer a pressure-treated timber floor (cleaner look, easier to keep tidy). Both work; our stores ship with a removable floor panel so you can choose on install.

Will the binmen really use the front-opening doors?

Yes — we've designed the opening width and hinge angle specifically so bins wheel out without manhandling. Some customers also add a brightly-coloured "lift here" sign on the front for the binmen on week one; after that they just use it.

Can a double bin store hold three bins?

Not properly. Bins wedge against each other and lids can't fully open. If you have three bins now or will soon, get a triple store — it's only marginally larger and handles bin day properly.
