The 8x6 wooden shed base spans W-236cm x D-182cm, a robust foundation for one of the most popular larger shed sizes. It keeps sheds, bike stores and small workshops firmly level, with solid support reaching to every corner.
Customise the finished height with three timber depths - 38x63mm, 38x89mm or 38x138mm - ideal for lifting the floor above wet ground or correcting a slope beneath a wider building. The base is supplied as pre-assembled sections, so the job is mainly connecting the ready-made parts together instead of framing from raw timber.

A level, solid surface gives the best result for sheds and larger storage units — concrete slab, paving flags, or a pressure-treated timber base all work. Storage boxes sit on any level paved or decked surface. If the ground isn't level, panels won't line up cleanly and the unit won't be fully weathertight.
